Welcome, Communify Discovery and Recovery Centre team members!

You do such valuable work, but face many challenges that can cause stress during your day. This collection of 5 Desk Yoga videos (plus a welcome video) has been designed to help you take care of yourselves. The course is valued at $150, but it’s being provided by Communify to you for free. Please check with your team leader for the coupon code if you don’t already have it.

Taking just 15 minutes for yourself can reduce tension and stress and calm your nervous system and mind, so you feel refreshed and have more to share with your clients and family. All Chair Yogis at Work videos and classes can be done without changing clothes or getting down on the ground. And all you need is a chair. While the videos have been designed so that they can be done all-seated, most of the movement and poses also can be done standing by your chair or desk for support which is particularly helpful to release tension in the hips and lower half of your body.

Each 15-minute video starts with breathing and movement to clear the mind and decompress the spine and then targets an area of the body that often gets stiff and stressed at work (Neck & Shoulders, Low Back & Hips, Hands & Wrists, Feet & Legs) The fifth video also begins with spinal movement but is then followed by an 8-minute guided gratitude meditation to calm your mind and uplift your spirits. Choose whichever one most closely addresses the stress or aches you feel.
