Dara began teaching yoga to help others enjoy the benefits of yoga that she loved so much. After deciding that she wanted to bring the benefits of yoga to retirees and others who found it difficult to participate in mainstream classes, she studied with a number of programs including Duke Integrative Medicine in the USA. These studies helped her to better understand the effects of aging on the body, common ailments and principles on how to modify general yoga asanas to ensure participants are as safe as possible during class. In addition, she studied Office Yoga teacher training to hone her skills and program for busy professionals.
Dara is a member of Yoga Alliance and is passionate about bringing yoga to new audiences, as she feels that they have so much to gain from this practice.
